  • 9:00-9:45–”Energy”–Jay Fuhrer

  • 9:45–10:30–The Wine Glass (Logan Pribbeno) approach to row crops, grazing and economics. The emphasis is on soil health ROI, water quality - quantity and valued added revenue streams.

  • 10:35-11:05–“A Conversation”—Maika Leibbrandt—nurturing potential in drought-susceptible production systems and leadership.

  • 11:15–11:50–Soil Pit—Jay Fuhrer and Ray Ward—examining the root zones, aggregates and soil organic manner possibilities in the light soils of southwest NE prone to dryness; gain steps to analyze your soil.

  • 12:00-12:40–Lunch—enjoy locally sourced food with higher proteins and nutrient levels; examine the tie to soil- and human health, water and the application to your operation and family.

  • 12:40-1:20–Ray Ward—“Net profitability, nutrient- and water changes needed with the sandy soils of southwest NE during historically challenging times.”

  • 1:20-1:50—Sentinel Ag—Introduce opportunities for producers in Hub 2–new producer leads by the NSHC; Sentinel (NUE—nitrogen use efficiency, increasing net profitability and water use (dryland and irrigated), and Soil Health Benchmarking.

  • 1:50-2:40—Jason Ackerson from the Soil Health Institute and Logan Pribbeno—Producer Learning Community Sessions to discuss the first SHI ROI report and the tie to the next phase of opportunities.

  • 2:45–4:15 Sponsored Sessions and beverages by the Grassroots Carbon (GC)

    • Enhanced Livestock Revenue and Carbon —Logan & Jacob Miller, and Bob Browleit will discuss their overall reasoning to enter the GC program, the strengths and comparison to other programs.
